Little Bundles
We have started a layette ministry for our neighbors in the Jefferson/New Pittsburgh area. If you know anyone who is expecting or adopting a baby, please contact the church office. We’d love to present them with a little bundle of baby items.
Food Pantry
Thanks to some very generous donors, we have a wonderful new outdoor food pantry sitting under the light in the parking lot to augment our food outreach to the community! This mini pantry is an easy way for neighbors to help neighbors who need food, hygiene, or paper items. Currently we have food items and diapers but will add other products as we get them. This mini pantry belongs to all of us. We can all be caretakers of it and the space around it. Give what you can by placing food, hygiene, or paper items inside the mini pantry. Give what you would want to receive. An easy rule of thumb: buy extra of what you buy your household. No gift is too small. A single can of green beans can help. Items should be unexpired and in good condition. Take what you need. If you find yourself in need, take the items and know that we care about you.

The Mission Barn
The Mission Barn, formerly known as The Eastbrook Mission Barn, is one of six UMCOR Relief Supply Network depots across the United States.
In 2000, Eastbrook United Methodist Church in Western PA acquired a former dairy barn as part of its purchase of a new parsonage. In 2008, the church began using the heated office space to store UMCOR cleaning buckets.
Since 2008 they have shipped over $1 million worth of UMCOR kits; built 190+ ramps; developed 4 Satellites in 2 states; supported 10 ramp-building ministries around western PA; supported several ERT teams with their tool trailers; and are involved with youth and adults with disabilities, recovering addicts, and youth and adults from Western PA, OH, and Upper NY in their ministries.
During 2022 they were outgrowing their space at the former dairy barn and started looking for a new home. In early 2023 they purchased a warehouse, only 8 miles away in Shenango Township, near New Castle, to continue the ministries and help them grow. Their new location is 181 Columbus Dr., New Castle, PA 16101
Members and friends of Oak Chapel visit the Mission Barn several times a year to build ramps and package kits.
